What can I store inside of a Pharma-Lock products?

While the products were initially designed to prevent opioid misuse, anything that you would like to keep protected can be stored in the pharma-lock bottles and safe! We created the Pharma-Lock to secure dangerous medication, but it can also be used to protect jewelry, medical marijuana, firearms and anything else that you need to prevent access too.

We recommend that you do not store medication inside of the Pharma-Lock that you may need in an emergency.

What types of pill bottles are compatible with the Pharma-Lock?

Please use our Dram Sizing Chart to ensure the Pharma-Lock is compatible with your pill bottle before buying. The Pharma-Lock CVS Cap and the Pharma Lock Capsule are compatible with the standard CVS Pharmacy pill bottle (the 20 dram). We also offer a Pharma Lock Walgreens Cap that is compatible with the standard 20 dram walgreens bottle (which also work with standard HIMS and HERS bottles). We are currently working to support other sizes and pill bottles from other pharmacies. If there is a specific type of pill bottle that you would like supported, please reach out to our team.

How Strong are the Pharma-lock Caps?

The goal of the Pharma-Lock CVS and Walgreens products are not intended to be indestructible. But instead, they are designed to provide an additional barrier between temptation and medication. The Pharma-Lock CVS and Walgreens Caps are made from a glass filled composite resin making it extremely durable and able to withstand a substantial amount of force. In the event that the Pharma-Lock or pill bottle is broken using extreme force, it would leave tamper evidence behind which makes it much harder for thieves to swipe a pill or two.

Another product offered by Pharma-Lock is the Pharma-Lock Safe, this product has a rugged stainless-steel frame which makes it superior for accidental misuse and intentional abuse prevention. If you are looking for the most secure option this is number one on the list. This safe can also be used to store firearms, cash, jewlery etc.

Can I use my own lock?

Yes, for the Pharma-Lock caps we provide two different locks (one is a combination lock and the other uses fingerprint recognition). You could also use your own lock to secure the caps such as a luggage lock or similar.

How to reset the lock combination for the provided lock?

The lock combination can be reset for the Pharma-lock caps and the Pharma-Lock safe by following the instructions provided on the booklet inside of the packaging for the product. For all of the products the passwords can be reset, and the fingerprint recognition can be changed to add fingerprints or change the fingerprints used to unlock the device. to see more details on setting up finger prints, connecting to apps or reprogramming locks click here Instructions

What happens if someone breaks into my Pharma-Lock products?

If someone breaks into your Pharma-lock please contact your healthcare provider and/or local law enforcement depending on wat was stored inside the device. In addition to using the Pharma-lock devices it is recommended to store these valuables in safe places out of sight of potential thieves.
